JOHN TEMPLETON FOUNDATION
COMPETITION

"The response to the awards has been extremely gratifying," said project director Michael Reagan, "almost 7500 essays from 97 countries worldwide."
Esther North was one of only 19 winners in the 2004 Worldwide competition.

"Planning the Christmas Pageant ... no one wants to be Joseph. North suggests that in life there aren't enough Josephs ... a message that people of all faiths or no religious persuasion can appreciate."
The Advocate, Louisiana

"...a wonderful read: touching, pointed, humorous and helpful. ... As a story linking a world we all nearly remember even though it's so far from what we find ourselves in now, it's truly impressive."
David F. Bright,
Professor Emeritus of Classics and Comparative Literature, Emory University

"I work in an environment where single parenting, 99% of women, is the norm. 'Who Will Be Joseph?' brings to light one of the largest barriers facing these children: lack of role models. Well put Ms. North!       Marie, Saskatoon, Sask.

"Thank you so much ... The style is so simple and sincere and appeals to the heart as well as to the mind.
I will be sharing it with others."
